The 2022 Holiday Lights at the Beach is here and a great way to enjoy a holiday celebration of magical light displays on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk.

Drive your vehicle ON THE BOARDWALK through Nautical, Holiday, and Adventure Lands with a soundtrack signal playing traditional Holiday music on your vehicle’s radio. Festive fish, musical crabs, and hard-working elves – all in brightly colored lights against the moonlit Atlantic Ocean.

Family-friendly movies at the Fountain Plaza in the Virginia Beach Town Center every Saturday in October. The free outdoor movie series are held at sunset beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Annual Boardwalk Art Show: Oct. 21-23

The Virginia MOCA Boardwalk Art Show has been ranked as one of the “Top 15 Fine Art Shows of the Decade” by Sunshine Magazine, the three-day festival welcomes nearly 200 artists from around the country to the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. The show runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. The Family Park at 24th Street Park will feature FREE activities for kids of all ages – including pumpkin-picking, art kits, face-painting, balloon animals and live entertainment – on Saturday and Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m.

Out of the Box Emerging Artists Series
Town Center: January 13, 20 & 27

Back for its ninth season, the Out of the Box Emerging Artists Series is a free (yes, free!) event highlighting a carefully curated list of local artists. Performances take place at the Miller Studio Theatre, in collaboration with 89.5-WHRV’s Paul Shugrue and presented by Three Notch’d Brewing Co. Doors for the standing room only events open at 6 p.m., with performances starting at 7 p.m. Food and drinks are available for purchase. Performances are as follows:
