The 55th Anniversary of the East Coast Surfing Championships (otherwise known as Coastal Edge ECSC) is the second-oldest, continually run surfing championship in the WORLD located right here in Virginia Beach.The event hosts both amateurs and professionals in the United States Surfing Federation.

Today’s Coastal Edge ECSC is more than surfing – it has evolved into a multifaceted beach sports and entertainment festival that offers many visitor-friendly attractions. Other competitions held during the week include skimboarding, volleyball, a 5K run on the boardwalk, boxing and skateboarding. Just to add a little more to the sporting atmosphere, Adventure Park at Virginia Aquarium is installing a zip line right on the beach. All activities are open to the public coupled with live music to add to the thrilling ambiance.You will find that there will be plenty of time for you to enjoy some of the best that Virginia Beach has to offer. >more on this event
