Sandstock – A Tribute to Rock & Roll

Location:On the beach at 24th Street

Sandstock, A Tribute to Rock & Roll, is a beach-inspired variation on “Woodstock.” Tribute artists cover songs from some of the greatest rockers in history. All performances, which are free to the public, are held on two “dueling” stages – the Hippy Dippy Stage and the Flower Power Stage – built right on the sand at 24th Street.

Come join us for Sandstock, a fun-filled weekend of great live music.

Hardee’s Latin Fest
June 23, 2017 to June 24, 2017

Come enjoy Hardee’s Latin Fest concerts! Virginia Beach celebrates the sights and sounds of the Latin experience. Hardee’s Latin Fest possesses the key ingredients of great food, family fun, and first-rate Latin music. National performers electrify the diverse audience with high-energy tunes that move the crowd to dance under the stars. Local and regional Latin acts take the stage and unite festival-goers with the rhythms of Salsa, Merengue, and Jazz.  Headline performances will take place on a giant stage on the beach at 24th Street.

Spend your Saturday morning at the Zumba Marathon, where dozens of the area’s finest instructors will be ready to show you some of their favorite moves.

Vendors and cultural activities in the Latin Village in the 24th Street Park will round out the festival. The Latin Fest is a FREE event.

Virginia Beach Bash Lacrosse Tournament
June 16 – June 18

The Virginia Beach Bash Lacrosse Tournament is a fun summer tradition for hundreds of lacrosse families throughout the Mid-Atlantic and beyond! The Virginia Beach Bash is a proud Qualifier for the Dick’s Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions  (TOC). The  TOC is the only national championship for high school age club lacrosse teams, offering divisions for both boys and girls teams in both the Elite (Varsity) and Rising Stars (JV) levels.  The TOC extends bids to top finishers from one of the officially recognized qualifying national tournaments. >more info

2017 Flying Proms Symphony Air Show

See vintage aircraft flying maneuvers accompanied by live music performed by a symphony orchestra, and fireworks display!

In England, The Flying Proms is a beloved tradition that showcases the beauty of vintage aircraft flying maneuvers accompanied by live music performed by a symphony orchestra. This show comes to the United States, courtesy of the Military Aviation Museum.

Symphonicity is the orchestral partner for the Flying Proms. Lead by music director and conductor David S. Kunkel, Symphonicity is a resident performing arts group at the Sandler Center for the Arts in Virginia Beach. The first half of the evening’s entertainment will feature music from movies and television featuring some of the museum’s rare aircraft in flight. The second half will feature the symphony playing patriotic music culminating with a fireworks display by Zambelli Fireworks.
