Holiday Lights at the Beach starts November 18th and runs thru January 1, 2017. Holiday Lights at the Beach brings joy and wonder to Hampton Roads each and every holiday season! Drive on the Virginia Beach boardwalk! Take a shining journey into nautical, holiday, and adventure lands – all along the beautiful Virginia Beach boardwalk. Festive fish, jumping dolphins, frolicking porpoises – all in bright, colored lights against the clear night-time sky, are the stars of McDonald’s Holiday Lights at the Beach. They are joined by Santa, elves, and a 40-foot tall Christmas tree erected on the beach and in the beautiful parks along the Virginia Beach boardwalk.

Festa Italiana features a little bit of Italy is coming to Town Center of Virginia Beach for two days of pasta, pizza, Italian wine, beer, and entertainment, together with family-friendly activities like grape-stomping!

Local restaurants will serve up their specialties for a two-day celebration of everything Italian in the heart of Town Center. Participating restaurants for this year’s event include: Bravo! Cucina, Salvatore’s, Mannino’s, Your Pie Pizzas, and When in Rome.

Join us for the American Music Festival September 2nd – 4th here on the Virginia Beach oceanfront!

The sounds of rock, jazz, country, R&B, and more flood the Virginia Beach oceanfront for three sun-filled days over Labor Day Weekend at the American Music Festival. The largest outdoor music event on the East Coast, the American Music Festival brings together national, regional, and local acts to play on a stage on the beach at 5th Street, as well as stages in all the parks along the boardwalk. With just about every music genre, there’s something for everyone.

Come join us for the Mid-Atlantic Hermit Crab Challenge on July 23.

The Crab is King at this one-of-a-kind event that’s fun for the whole family! Along with the Crustacean 500 race, participants may enter the Miss Curvaceous Crustacean Beauty Pageant. At the pageant, hermit crabs are presented in uniquely-decorated displays and judged on beauty and creativity. Hermit crab owners are encouraged to build a unique display for their crab. Past winners have included themed entries like “Spider Crab,” “Hermit the Hulk,” “Beauty and the Crab,” and “Pirates of the Crabibbean!” Approximately 300 hermit crabs participate in the Mid-Atlantic Hermit Crab Challenge each year. Many of these come from out of state just to be with us! ALL participants receive a medal for being a part of this unique event. There are no fees for entering.

Fireworks are scheduled in Virginia Beach for the Fourth of July of course:) In addition , there are weekly firework displays during the summer for guests to enjoy.

Fireworks may be viewed anywhere from the boardwalk.  They are launched off 23rd Street from a barge on the water.
